Severe weather will once again hit the Northern Plains late Saturday into Saturday night. This is probably the 6th round of severe weather in weeks to hit the same area.
This time, the storms that develop will produce mainly damaging large hail and high winds. While a few tornadoes may occur, the impacts will be mainly hail and high winds. Large hail up to golf ball size may occur in the storms. Hail that big can put dents in your cars and homes, and can strip the leaves off trees.
The storms will develop late in the day ahead of a cold front. The storms will last into the night, but probably will not form into a convective cluster as we have seen before.
In the path of the storms, the following cities will be impacted.
Bismarck, ND…Grand Forks, ND…Mandan, ND…Jamestown, ND…Devils Lake, ND… |
Fargo, ND…Minot, ND…Moorhead, MN…West Fargo, ND…Dickinson, ND… |
