Northeast Snow, Could be Heavy Today into Monday

A storm coming up the coast that is producing mainly rain this morning should transition over to snow from Northeast Pennsylvania into eastern Maine.

Snow will begin late morning and early afternoon across the high country of southern New York and northern Pennsylvania. Those areas could see accumulating snow today with up to 6 inches in places.

The heavy snow will develop tonight across western New England into Maine. Those areas will see 1-6 inches of snow with some local amounts near 10 inches, especially across eastern Maine.

Above, the 3km NAM, maybe a little over done, shows the area where the heavy snow will occur.
