GFS Catching on to the NAO Pattern with Storm Along the East Coast!

I’ve been talking about it all week that with the NAO crashing and PNA going positive we should see a storm along the East coast. Makes sense right? Yes it does.

It also goes against many forecasts that were going for a heatwave that is now being replaced by rainy and cooler weather. What remains to seen, we it be cold enough in the trough to have some wet snow, especially over the higher elevations of the Northeast. Models seem to be going back and forth on snow so we will have to see how it pans out over the next week or so.
