Peak Wind Gusts with ZETA…High Winds Along the eastern Track

The warm sector of Zeta will contain strong winds all the way from the Gulf Coast to the Mid-Atlantic. Zeta will come in as a Cat 1 hurricane with gusts over 60 mph. We should see the winds tamper down heading into Georgia but with the forward speed of Zeta about 50 mph, I don’t think we will see the high winds really unwinding all that fast so that means wind gusts over 40 mph all the way to The Delmarva.
