As the upper level system comes out of the Southern Rockies and into the Plains, low pressure will develop along the cold front and head northeast from Colorado to the western Great Lakes. A band of heavy thunderstorms will develop along the cold front and impact the Midwest. I expect mainly strong wind gusts and some hail with the storms has the move through a particular area. We may see a squall line develop with strong winds all along it. Check out the images below that show the hail swaths and wind gusts.
