Mid-Atlantic Severe Weather Potential

Here’s my map for the severe weather potential in the Mid-Atlantic. While the main thrust of the storms will be damaging wind gusts. there is enough shear to warrant a tornado threat as well. The bulk of the storms will be from Noon to 5pm. Winds in general will be gusting 40-60 mph across New England ahead of the storms. Below is the NAM simulated radar and rotation tracks for Monday afternoon. Sounding ahead of the line shows weak tornado potential.
