Storm Now Jumps to the Coast on the Models!

The 12z model runs have gone to the idea that a storm ends up on the coast and intensifies. This has been the idea I proposed for days now given the negative NAO and Positive PNA. Both conjunction means a coastal storm. In this case, the snows will be interior areas with rain along the coast. The GFS shows plenty more storms coming and even some potential big storms. You can see on the various model maps below that we do see a consensus with the models in regards to the storm placement and snow swath. I do remain concerned that the snow area is more to the east of where it’s shown.
