The blocking pattern will help to drive a Nor’ Easter that will hit New England with heavy snow Saturday afternoon into Sunday. I guess the Big Daddy is coming on for this one given the potential for over a foot of snow with 1-2 feet across Maine. I am not going to differ much from the ECMWF model on this one in regards to snow amounts. GFS seems to be a little too far west on the snow and the NAM seems to be too far East so the best solution is the ECMWF model. Winds will be gusting 25-40 mph around the storms so the “B” word is going to be thrown out there by folks.
