It seems the operational models have settled into an agreement on the storm. Based on the speed and path of the storm and that fact this will be a La Junta low coming out of southeast Colorado, I went with a Cat 3 snow event. The storm should intensify moving into the Great Lakes and that’s why we should see Cat 3 type snows developing into Iowa and heading into Michigan. Chicago is a tough call. In the city I think they will see several inches but northern Chicago could see up to 10 inches. Milwaukee will probably get hit with heavy snow and maybe some enhanced lake snow from the Northeast.
