Updated: 12/12/2020 9am Latest on the Great Lakes Snowstorm

Updated: 12/12 at 9am – The HRRR remains in agreement with the snow map I posted. Light to moderate snows continue to move through Wisconsin into Northern Michigan as convection moves north into the cold air enhancing snow rates. Northern Michigan will see the most snow will up to 10 inches expected by tonight.

Here’s my latest snow map for the storm. Chicago is still a tough call on snow. I do think the northern part of the city gets snow while the southern part gets rain. Some of the models suggest rain goes all the way into Milwaukee before it snows. Below are the model snow maps which agree with the map I posted above. Snow will last about 6-8 hours in any one location with rates of 1/2 to 1 inch per hour.
