Snow will hit North Carolina and southern Virginia Friday. Expect snowfall of 1-4 inches with locally 8 inches of snow. Travel conditions will be very poor as roads become snow covered and hazardous. I think the mountains will see snowfall up to 8 inches with the Piedmont have many issues with snow while toward the coast, rain and snow will be the rule. This is just one of many snows coming over the next couple of weeks.
