I did a n update on the snow map for the current storm. Had to make changes in the Northeast where more snow will fall. We need to watch for a band of 1-4 inches of snow from Northern West Virginia to southern New Jersey this evening as snow setups along the frontal boundary. The snow in the Northeast will extend into Wednesday so the longer period of snow means heavier amounts. In the Midwest, the heavy snow band is setting up across Kansas into Nebraska and Iowa where a foot of snow will occur. Thunderstorms are feeding up the Tennessee Valley causing enhanced snow and ice from Illinois into Indiana this afternoon. Significant ice may occur prior to the change over to rain. The ice map is below.

  1. Henry…Why does NYC-Metro seem as if the heavier snow skips over it.?
    What do you think the range is for NYC-Metro?

    Thanks

  2. Henry;
    We have to drive from State College to Lewistown tomorrow around noon. How do you think Hwy 322 will be?
