There are two stories. One the severe weather today across the Southeast and the other is the warmth coming into the East.
The focus of the severe weather will be across southern Alabama to southern South Carolina. It appears to have changed to south of Atlanta but I would keep my guard up for storms to develop even across northern Alabama and northern Georgia. The potential for tornadoes will be mainly across southern Georgia into southern South Carolina.
The storm that produces the severe weather heads to the Northeast coast Sunday evening where gales and heavy rains will occur.
The second story will be the warm weather coming into the East ahead of the next storm. We will see temperatures into the 70s and 80s next week and the Mid-Atlantic could see temperatures close to 90 by Thursday due to downsloping westerly winds.
Severe weather will break out across the Mississippi Valley into Texas Wednesday and Thursday. There is the potential for tornadoes with this next outbreak.
