I did a post this morning on the lack of severe weather this year. Despite news stories on an active severe weather season, the season so far has been well below normal across the board in regards to tornadoes, hail and damaging winds.
Severe storms will develop in the High Plains tomorrow. The severe storms move east Wednesday and Thursday. In all cases I think the number of tornadoes is minimal and the impacts are mostly damaging winds and hail.
The warmth is on for the Eastern part of the country. Temperatures prior to the cold front coming through will be in the 70s and 80s. Mid-Atlantic could hit 90 due to downsloping off the Appalachians which will help to heat the air a few more degrees.
Eventually the cold front will come through and chillier weather comes into the East for the end of the week and the start of the weekend.
