By the weekend we should break out of this cool weather pattern that will plague much of the East this week. In fact, Denver and Boulder will see snow today into Tuesday with some areas having up to a foot of snow.

As the pattern changes, I am starting to see signs that the tropics may begin to become active in the Atlantic. The Caribbean will be covered by dust that is blowing across the tropical Atlantic from Africa.

Severe weather may occur in two areas today. Eastern North Carolina will see storms that can produce damaging winds and hail. Southwest Texas could see a few supercells with damaging hail and tornadoes.

Frost and freezes may occur across the Great Lakes and Northeast Tuesday morning. We may see temperatures in the upper 20s and low 30s. Post coming today.
