We are expecting a busy tropical season with above normal number of storms this year but probably not on the order of what we had last year. You can see the names of the storms below.

The operational models have all be indicating that tropical formation will occur by mid-month. It seems now that we are honing in on the Gulf of Mexico for development. The temperatures in the southern Gulf of Mexico are warm so most likely the storm that does develop will develop someplace in the southern Gulf. Track of any storm that does develop will head to the Gulf coast and could impact the Florida Panhandle and the initial look at a possible path.

  1. Hope we can get some of that tropical moisture to stream in to Northern New England to stave off the developing drought conditions.
