A cold front moving across eastern Canada will spark a line of thunderstorms this afternoon. The storms will move across eastern Ontario, southern Quebec and areas from Maine to New York this afternoon and evening. The impacts with the storms will be wind gusts over 35 mph and small hail. I expect some storms will have severe thunderstorm warnings issued for them based on radar signatures of hail and wind. Rotation swaths would support some larger hail in the storms. Because this is a northwesterly flow situation so a tornado can not be ruled out.
