Happy Weather Sunday!

The cold front moving across the East will only produce showers and thunderstorms today, nothing too heavy. We have to wait until the cold front that comes across the Great Lakes into the Northeast this week for severe weather to occur.

I think I am ahead of SPC on the potential for severe weather since they have no areas shown for Tuesday and Wednesday. I remain concerned that some tornadoes will be around with the storms given the soundings.

Tropical activity will be in the Gulf of Mexico by Thursday. A small and weak storm should be in the northern Gulf of Mexico. That system will impact the Southeast with heavy rains.
