Coastal Storm will Bring Snow and Ice Monday into Tuesday

Monday Morning – Freezing drizzle has develop across NJ and also western NC this morning. The GFS has fallen inline with the other models on the snow for the Northeast. I updated the map to reflect the snow for Maine that will be heavier over 4+ inches. New England will see 1-4 inches of snow. A little snow and freezing drizzle will impact areas from southeast NY through NJ into The Delmarva. I can see a mixture of snow and rain in DC and Baltimore area tonight.

Sunday

There is some discrepancies between the models this morning in the amount of snow for the Northeast. The ECMWF continues to show heavy snow for parts of New England into Maine while the GFS has a little snow across New England. The NAM model has some snow for the Northeast. I am going with a consensus of the models with a coating to 4 inches of snow across New England into Maine. I can see how there is 4+ inches of snow as shown on the NWS map. In addition, a bit of freezing drizzle will break out across NJ into the The Delmarva Monday night. There will be enough ice to cause icy roads into rush hour Tuesday morning.
