Last Day of Severe Storms During this Event

After a busy day of severe weather and tornadoes across the South, we have one more day of severe weather which will be centered around the Mid-Atlantic into New York and New England. A line of severe storms will develop in the Appalachians early then move east into the Mid-Atlantic. The main impact of the storms will be strong winds given the strength of the low level jet. That jet will be blowing at over 60 kts which means winds could reach 60 mph of better at the surface. Hail and perhaps a brief tornado will occur.
