The week will start with a storm coming up the coast that will bring strong coastal winds and heavy snow inland. Parts of the Northeast coast see up to a foot of snow, especially over the higher elevations.

Winds along the coast may gust up to 60 mph which will cause coastal flooding as well.

The end of the week may feature another blizzard for the Northern Plains. A storm coming through the Northwest will bring heavy mountain snows and that same storm will move into the Plains and intensify Snow with strong winds will develop across the Dakota’s Saturday and conditions can quickly become a blizzard.

Severe storms will develop in the Mississippi Valley Saturday. The storms could produce tornadoes as well as wind damage and hail.

Windy and warm weather will hit the Plains this week. That will cause high fire danger conditions.
