Updated: Gusty Storms May Bring Damaging Winds and Hail Thursday

A line of storms will develop and produce wind gusts over 50 mph. Winds even behind the storms will be gusting over 50 mph. Power outages will be the main issue with the storms.

In the central Plains, severe storms are expected to develop Thursday afternoon. This will be band of storms near the storm track that will move quickly northeast from with wind damage and hail from Nebraska to Oklahoma into Missouri and Iowa. There is the chance of tornadoes, but the dew points might not get high enough for tornado development.
