77° this morning in Winston-Salem with hope that we don’t hit 100 for the fourth day in a row- also hope for much needed rain. We’re parched down here!

Current Hagerstown temperature 92(officially not at the airport). With the record for July 4 being 100, we are going for it!

After a cool down from a fast moving TS last evening, we were able to give the AC a rest overnight and open windows. Not so this morning. Heating up fast on the way to 100 again today. Much welcome cooling next week with Monday in the 70s!

I read that nyc hasn’t been this hot since 2012… I remember that summer (bought my first AC!) and also that little hurricane called Sandy that came in Oct. It was a neutral summer I believe (moving from La Niña to an El Niño that didn’t materialize). Wondering if there are any parallels for us this year in light of what Henry said about stormy Aug/Sept…

Dewpoint in Rochester got to 79, heat index 105 which i believe btraks of ties a record for highest dewpoint in Rochester. Hope you all are staying cool!

Mid 90’s today, extreme heat warning tomorrow thru the fourth. highs in the hundreds and heat index 107-115+. WORST WEATHER EVER.

78° this Tuesday morning in Winston-Salem, where we say goodbye to the German futball team. They may have lost their match, but they win by getting out of town before the 100s hit- especially with the humidity.

With the passage of a couple of cold fronts, Southern NV has cooled off with low temperatures down into the upper 60s and our high temp for the next couple of days in the upper 80s to the mid 90s. Today, it is only expected to be around 88 deg. But, by the holiday weekend, we expect temps to be above 100 again.

Looks like the heat is coming into the Mid-Atlantic as we hit the end of the month and early July.

After 124 days without measurable rainfall, the Las Vegas Valley is getting light to moderate rain showers this morning. The sun will return this afternoon with temperatures in the upper 90s. It is currently 85 deg. with light rain at my location as of 09:00 PDT. It appears the monsoon moisture is getting underway at this point.

Just regained power after losing it in the storms that rocketed through the NC Piedmont yesterday evening. Lots of trees down in Forsyth County- 55 mph gust measured at PTi airport in Greensboro. Heavy rain again this morning, now cooler and dry.

Severe T-storm watch for SE North Carolina issued for today. Hope we can an inch or 2 of rain from this round. SPC has Slight area from Morehead City NC to Ocean City MD

1.58” of rain yesterday at my house in NY yesterday! Grass needed it. No thunderstorms though.

The so- called big rain chances, NOAA had posted a 90% chance with high severe weather possibilities, turned out to be a big bust. Just 0.07 inches of rain in the last 24 hours but thankfully no severe weather reported in the Cumberland Valley. At least not west of Hagerstown proper anyway.
