MJO into phase 8 pretty quick
I see JB and others reference the MJO too. I am not familiar at all with MJO – what does this suggest?

12z GFS still has a lot of ridging in it…got a feeling this model won’t know a snow storm is coming until the day before the storm

I realize there are many indicators, why do you not ever mention the MJO phases? Heading into warm phases for east. Which would mesh with GFS…the soi fluctuates so much resulting in wild model swing lags…The MJO seems to be a better big picture indicator. Just curious.
