  • We are getting scattered showers and thundershowers in the Las Vegas Valley this afternoon from the tropical moisture flowing in. We are on the western edge of this plume, but it is enough with the instability to set off some showers. There has not been much to report from here until today other than that we have transitioned into our fall season…Read More

  • Light to moderate rainfall has arrived in Southern NV this afternoon. Currently moderate rain is falling at my location with a temperature of 73 deg as of 13:50 PDT. It is much needed as other than the heavy downpour a couple of weeks ago, it has been a dry monsoon season for Southern NV.

  • It is another mostly cloudy day in Southern NV, with mid and high-level clouds. This is again, keeping temps down with a high today expected to be only around 91 deg. There is some virga visible but as with the monsoon moisture a couple days ago, most of the precip was confined to the mountain areas to the north and west of the Las Vegas Valley.

  • Over the last few days, monsoon moisture has flowed into the region which sparked flooding storms in the mountain areas, and mostly cloudy skies over the Las Vegas Valley area which cut the heat dramatically. Several mountain areas to our west and north had significant flash floods from the storms that had developed.

    Temperatures will slowly…Read More
