Happy Weather Wednesday!
The weak cold front will continue to move across the Great Lakes and Midwest today. Yesterday we saw many reports of wind damage with the storms that developed along the front.
Severe storms are expected to develop along the front again this afternoon and evening. A line of severe storms will develop from Michigan to Missouri this afternoon and the storms will produce damaging wind gusts and hail. Hail could be large enough to cause damage.
That front continues into the Appalachians and Northeast tomorrow. Expect more scattered storms with wind damage possible.
The monsoon storms will continue in the Southwest through the weekend. The risk of flash flooding will continue.
The heat will only be cut by thunderstorms but will remain in the Plains to the East into early next week. A nice airmass is coming into the Est next week.
The EPS model is showing the Atlantic will explode with storms in about two weeks!
