|Daily Morning Briefing for Thursday 10-1-20|
Sorry for the delay today. I wanted to see the rest of the GFS model for the longer range.
In the near term, the tropics are going to be the issue as at least one storm will develop in the western Caribbean and head into the Gulf of Mexico. What happens after that is the issue. I don’t believe any model has the answers on what will happen in 7-14 day time period.
My concern, with the blocking pattern and trough coming into the East, the some tropical system gets involved with the trough and we have a lot bigger issue along the East coast.
After mid-Month, the concern becomes snow in the Rockies and Northeast. I can see a snow event during the second half of October across the Northeast.
