Clipper Snow will Cross the Upper Midwest into the Northern Great Lakes

A clipper will move across the Upper Midwest into the Northern Great Lakes today into Sunday. That clipper will spread light snow across that area which will accumulate 1-4 inches. Most places will see on average 2 inches. Lake snows will follow across Michigan and that will add on more snow to the clipper in the traditional lake affect zones downwind from lake Michigan.

UPDATED MAP: The First Clipper this Weekend Brings Light Snow

A quick moving clipper will bring light snow from the Northern Plains into the Ohio Valley. That clipper will produce light snow so while my map shows 1-4 inches of snow, most areas will see around 1-2 inches of snow because the snow will be moving very quickly. The snow will start in the Northern Plains Saturday afternoon. That area of snow will move into the Ohio Valley and Appalachians by Sunday afternoon. The Appalachians should block the snow from going into the Mid-Atlantic but a few flurries may occur Sunday evening.
