Dangerous Heat and Humidity will Feed Severe Storms!
Henry Margusity, Chief Meteorologist

We are in a pattern of high heat and high humidity across much of the East this week. In some areas of the Mid-Atlantic temperatures will hit the 100 degree mark with high humidity making dangerous conditions.

As waves of thunderstorms move across the Great Lakes, Ohio Valley into the Mid-Atlantic, severe weather will occur. The storms that feed off the high heat and humidity will produce damaging winds, heavy rains and frequent lightning shows. A brief tornado may occur in some areas. The cold front that will eventually move into the region will cause more severe storms Thursday into Saturday. Once that front moves through, relief from the heat and humidity will occur this weekend.
