The cold front will move across the Mississippi Valley into the Tennessee Valley today into tonight. The best chance for a tornado will be across the lower Mississippi Valley while east the storms move east and form into a squall line, damaging wind gusts and hail will become the primary impacts. We should see the storms develop this afternoon and during the first few hours of the event is when the tornado threat will occur. Once we see the storms forming into a line, the threat of tornadoes should wane away. You can see on the simulated radar the storms that will form late this afternoon and even the rotation tracks show the potential for tornadoes and/or large hail.
