Severe Storms, Possible Tornadoes for the Midwest this Weekend

A storm moving into the Northern Plains will produce a band of severe storms across the central Plains and Midwest into the Great Lakes this weekend. There is the potential for tornado activity across Iowa into eastern Nebraska and perhaps Kansas Saturday afternoon and evening. The dynamics are fairly strong for this time of the year which should support a vigorous severe weather outbreak. The storms should form in the afternoon Saturday and continue Saturday night. Sunday, a line of heavy thunderstorms will move through the Midwest into the Great Lakes with wind damage and hail.
