Sierra Spy : A nice dose of moisture here for the first week in February, but with a persistently positive PNA, snow levels have been relatively high. Only about 8 inches of wet “Sierra Cement” here at lake level in Tahoe (6250 ft), but 3-6 feet above 8000 ft. Generally higher totals as you go south. It doesn’t take much to disrupt travel (Californians aren’t even used to rain, let alone snow). October to December was almost record dry, so we are still running 55-75% of average in precip for the year.
