Having lunch on the deck in only a shirt today (Friday) at 6250 ft. by lake Tahoe in the Sierras. The bottom falls out tonight, as another holiday storm comes in. This year, they all seem to be warmer than normal, with some rain and low ratio snow at lake level (6250) and higher ratios on the ski mountains. (The closest one to me, Heavenly, goes up to 10,100 ft)
Local forecaster has been doing it for 20 years and is usually right on the money for his ranges.
Winds at 9000 ft might hit 100mph.
