A comment on naming storms …
Coastal residents in NC must have a special rider on their home owner’s insurance for “Wind and Hail” – your homeowners insurance doesn’t cover these perils. If a Named storm causes damage your deductible is $10,000; for a non-named storm the deductible is only $2000 (or so.) I had to replace my roof last year from a non-named storm which came up to just shy of $50K. I’m happy with no-name storms, thank you!
