Possible Tropical Development from Recent Coastal Storm

The storm that hit with the flooding rains last weekend continues spin in the Atlantic. The storm will head south and southwest toward the Southeast coast and could become a subtropical storm. If the transition to a subtropical storm occurs it would be named Alex. There is a 20% chance this happens but in any case, the storm will move back into the Carolina’s and spread heavy rains into the Carolina’s and Mid-Atlantic this weekend. We could see another round of flooding. Winds will be gusty along the Carolina’s coast with gusts over 35 mph.
