Back edge of the last very heavy rain band from wanna be (but won’t be) TS Helene is passing by my home in SE North Carolina. My rain gauge has recorded just over 7 inches in the last 24 hours with the bulk of it coming in the past 4-5 hours. Low center remains off the Myrtle Beach coast tracking WNW, but time has just about run out for elevation to TS status.
