A cold front coming across the Great Lakes into the Northeast will produce a band of heavy thunderstorms today. Another old front stretching from the Carolina’s and across the South will also be a focal point for for heavy thunderstorms today. In both areas, the impacts will be strong winds and hail with the storms. This is not a tornado situation but if an area would have a tornado, it will be across southeast Virginia and eastern North Carolina. The simulated radars below show the distribution of thunderstorms from the Northeast to the South today.
