Happy New Year 2024 to all on this site. When I moved in late 2016, I was concerned about snow removal where I lived. Since moving the most snow that has fallen (from a single storm) here about 15-20 miles W of downtown Philly has been 4″. And not much overall in any winter since I moved. No real complaints (my family did shovel out a 100′ driveway from under multiple big snows from 2009-2016 where I lived previously not too far from where I live now). Although December has been a bit disappointing here with just flurries up to a coating on the grass from a snow shower, I know we usually get most of our snow in January and February and occasionally March. It’ll be interesting to see if this will turn out to be the biggest one storm snowfall in quite a few years.

    • I’m about 35-40 miles north of center city Philly and we typically get much more snow as the rain/snow line often sets up closer to the city and to the east in NJ. Last winter produced several 1 in storms that melted within hours. My snow blower hasn’t been used for several years…but is eagerly awaiting Henry’s 12-18 inches next weekend!
