The models don’t handle neutral conditions well at all. Because we are in a neutral to very weak La Niña these models are struggling. It’s as if they were only programmed to handle extreme phases of weather but the gray areas of weather they struggle a lot. This is why the models (GFS-goofy forecast system) is all over the place. Once or if we get into a full blown La Niña watch how accurate and consistent the models become.
Yup! As a data analyst I know that AI runs off of the data that’s input. The models are not getting good data from AI when it comes to neutral conditions
