Baloney. The polar vortex is splitting so the cold will push. A negative EPO. A negative WPO. A negative NAO. The increasing strength of vertical velocities over South America. The cold pool northwest of Hawaii leading to a ridge over Alaska and a positive PNA are speaking volumes about cold returning sooner rather than later to Virginia. Put away your shovel at your own peril.
