Hagerstown one tenth of an inch of rain in the last 24 hours.
Oakland Maryland is the place to be today and all days frankly. Cold in the winter. Cool in the summer. And today the only place in the Mid-Atlantic not posted for an air quality alert. What a breath of fresh air.
It is “just” 94 currently in Hagerstown at 2 P.M. and with a wind out of the west northwest up to 12 mph, I doubt if we will make the 100 that NOAA had posted from this morning. Also, with a humidity of 50%, It feels more like 85 outside currently.
Hagerstown little chance of rain, NOAA has posted 20% next weekend, next 7 days as temperatures move back into the mid 90’s by the middle of the week.
Another big rain day for the i-81 corridor west of Hagerstown as we cut into that deficient. 0.03 of an inch today.
Hagerstown 0.02 inches since midnight and west of I-81 not a drop.
East of I-81 in Washington County MD there was measurable rain yesterday. From I-81 west out through the Blue Ridge and into the Appalachians practically nothing. Hagerstown officially 0.51 inches but west of town and west of I-81 at my pace only about 0.1. Typical dry slot summer and winter.
Current Hagerstown temperature 92(officially not at the airport). With the record for July 4 being 100, we are going for it!
Radar currently showing an MCS moving southwest from the Great Lakes and approaching Pittsburg. Although not in the forecast, I hope it holds together long enough to reach Hagerstown. Currently 90 degrees at 10;00 P.M.
It didn’t.
I would like to know how the NWS expects the temperature tonight to bottom out at their posted 75 for Hagerstown when it is still 95 at 7;00P.M.?
The so- called big rain chances, NOAA had posted a 90% chance with high severe weather possibilities, turned out to be a big bust. Just 0.07 inches of rain in the last 24 hours but thankfully no severe weather reported in the Cumberland Valley. At least not west of Hagerstown proper anyway.
For once the Mason Dixon Line seems to be the main focus for this weather event coming through. Cool and windy rain with moderate to sometimes heavier bursts of rain at 9;00A.M.
Lightning and thunder with moderate rain at my house west of Hagerstown at 7:25 A.M. this morning.
Oakland MD. currently 75 and a high tomorrow of 77. A cool place to be in the summer and a cold place to be in the winter. Elevation 2400 ft.
Hagerstown 0.75 inches of rain since midnight and close to 95 Thurs. and Fri.
Looks like we are heading into the dry season early this year with no rain forecasted for the next 7-10 days and temperatures gradually inching towards 90 by the end of the week for north central MD.
Almost 4 inches of rain for Hagerstown since last Thursday also. I have found it is a good time to space my perennials around that have started to spread their boundaries.
Hagerstown 3.45 inches of rain since Thursday and showers in the forecast for the next 3 or 4 days.
Hagerstown over 3 inches of rain since this event started about 36 hours ago. Rain in the forecast the next couple of days.
Hagerstown 1.27 inches of rain today so far and NOAA posting 80-90% change of rain through next Monday. Temperature upper 40s-low 50s in the region currently.
