Good morning. 57° in my corner of the NC Piedmont with sunshine all day, still in exceptional drought conditions with no real rain in sight.
66° already this morning with lots of sunshine in Winston-Salem- perfect weather for Wake Forest U graduation, taking place about a mile from my home. Happy Mother’s Day to all, and happy graduation day to college graduates across North Carolina at UNC, Duke, and NC State. Go out into the world and make a difference!

60° again in Winston-Salem. The NW side of town had a nice, prolonged period of rain yesterday- not a drought buster, but it was so nice to sit and listen to the rainfall!

65° in Winston-Salem, heading into the 80s today. Lots of wildfires in the southeast right now, so smoke has joined pollen in plaguing us. Eying those upcoming rain chances longingly.

58° in Winston-Salem this Saturday morning, but we’ll probably hit 90 this afternoon. Hoping the front brings us rain tomorrow and a cool down.
They are only calling for less than a tenth of an inch of rain here but hoping for more for all of us. It’s been so dry.
