Late yesterday afternoon, light rain started falling in the Las Vegas Valley. Over night, the Spring Mountains received significant snows above 5,000 feet which is much needed. The Western mountains are far below average with regard to snow. Rainfall across the valley varied, but was generally <0.1 inch. Today, is very windy with wind gusts between 35 to 45 mph. A wind advisory remains in effect through tomorrow.
