5.5” of rain in Winston-Salem, NC; Debby finally starting to pull away from the area
Rain showers moving in to the North Carolina Piedmont from the East- always a clue to tropical weather ahead!
I foresee heavy beach erosion and inland flooding for South Carolina and down East North Carolina with Debbie meandering along the coast. Maybe as much as the historic 2015 flooding in SC?
Just watched the GPS model on Tropical Tidbits-Florida, you’re about to go through some stuff- double hit, both coasts, lingering storm. Watching from North Carolina.💨
Finally some rain in my drought stricken region of the Piedmont in North Carolina. It’s moving in from the east.
North Carolina is rapidly approaching drought conditions.
Same in central Virginia. Grass getting brown and crispy
😧
Severe hailstorm hit Rock Hill, SC yesterday.
From Winston-Salem, NC.
Curious if anyone does an analysis of the weather model predictions vs outcomes? I wonder if there is a time frame which is more accurate (other than 3 days before).

Worked fine for me, that’s odd.
Meanwhile in North Carolina, spring’s fixing to bust out.
65° in Winston-Salem at 8:20 am- heading to the 70’s today.
Speaking for all the south, these temperatures in the teens are wasted without snow.
I’m just saying, going out to play in the dirt loses its appeal at some point in the winter.
Getting some kind of frozen precipitation in Winston-Salem right now- the first in over a year.
Happy holidays, Henry- I’m sure hoping that the projected snow in the Carolinas comes true! Enjoy your day off, and see you on the other side of Christmas!☃️⛄️☃️⛄️☃️
Still in a moderate drought in North Carolina piedmont. Rain misses us in all directions. Hoping for some relief soon.
Drought is a real problem in North Carolina right now. Hoping for relief soon!
Same here in North Georgia. Severe drought and lake levels 7 ft plus below full pool and dropping fast. El Nino slow to kick in for us.
