32 with moderate snow in Atlantic County near ACY
Just changed to a mix near Atlantic City, likely not much accumulation coming .
Still rain here in Galloway NJ 37 degrees with a 35 dew point It’s snowing less than 10 miles to the west
First flakes just started in Galloway, NJ. Temperature is 26 with an 11 degree dew point.
Just under 3 inches of rain overnight here 8 miles inland from Atlantic City. There was some thunder and lightening but it was more likely the instability collapsed as the system moved into more stable air influenced by the still cold 42 degree ocean.
Unofficial at 4.5 inches at my house 8 miles from Atlantic City and 4 miles north of ACY. Stopped 30 minutes ago. Now waiting to see if the upper level low has anything for here when it swings through later.
Heavy snow at noon in Atlantic County NJ
I remember the winter of ’77-’78. It stayed below 32 day and night for nearly a month in the Philly area. Icebreakers were needed to keep the Delaware Bay and river navigable. Waves froze after breaking on the NJ beaches.
Need a 1030-1040 high over Eastern Hudson Bay to keep feeding a N/NE wind as the Low reaches the warmer ocean. Maybe a surprise spin up? We can hope.
No snow on the ground here 10 miles from the coast in Atlantic County NJ. My daughter in Ocean County, a 40 mile difference, has about an inch on cars and grassy surfaces.
It was 43 at 7am here this morning in West Central Florida 30 miles northeast of Tampa. There have been only 2 days with any measurable rain over the past 5 weeks, but that’s how it is in the dry season here. Nature will make up for it once the rainy season returns in late May. We’re heading back to NJ in two weeks after being here since early January.

The cooler than average spring and early summer along the Jersey Shore continues. Cloudy with a steady breeze off the ocean is keeping it in the 70s today and most days.
An awesome 55 degrees at just before 7am here 8 miles inland by the South Jersey Shore. Bottle it for use in late July and August.
Tstorms went through here by the South Jersey Shore last night. It’s still cloudy this morning, but there’s a light breeze from the NW. It’ll turn out to be a really nice string of lower dew point days coming up.
