Superstorm 1993 in State College. 28″ if I recall correctly. That’s me in our driveway (holding a meterestick) down to the underground mini garage for our apartment building. Not seen in picture is about 10 feet up the driveway, our neighbor’s Volkswagon Rabbit, which they tried to drive out in the snow when it was only a few inches got stuck trying to return a few hours later. Had to be hauled out with a backhoe loader. Glad we could walk everywhere.
Those were the good old days when winters storms on the east coast where still happening…little did we know it wall starting to come to an end…but pictures like this are good to have for memories
I remember that storm well. I was actually snowed into my apartment since the snow had drifted around the house where I where my apartment was and I had to call the landlord to allow me to access the house to exit the place. What a storm!
