While the country east of the Rockies is locked in the deep freeze, we are in a warming trend in the Southwest. In the Las Vegas area, maximum temperatures will be at or near 70 deg this weekend before a gradual cool down next week. Low temperatures have been close to slightly above seasonal averages for the past couple of weeks. No precipitation appears to be on the horizon at this point.
