Hot conditions continue in the Southwest. I had a max temp of 106 yesterday, but the airport was near 110. The forecast high for today is 114. Below is an image from the past day and a half of temperature, dew point and rel. humidity.

Looking forward to the new site integrating WDS into the site. I may not need WeatherTAP anymore for detailed radar and several different overlays that they have. Sounds fantastic!

The heat dome continues to build in the deserts and will intensify by the weekend for Southern NV. The forecast for the weekend calls for up to 116 deg. by Sunday! Currently 95 deg at my location and 100 deg at the airport as of 09:30 PDT. So, as Henry pointed out, for the deserts, the story is heat and more heat.

We are heading into the core of summer in Southern NV with respect to high temperatures. Yesterday it was 107 deg. here but 112 down at Harry Reid International. The extreme heat warning remains in effect through Monday night. Widely scattered thunderstorms were evident as well, but nothing here as yet with respect to heavy rainfall.

We are now under an excessive heat warning through Monday with temperatures expected to reach 110 on Saturday and Sunday. Today I had a high of 105 while the airport reported 109. This will be the first major heat wave of the summer here.

Widely scattered showers and thundershowers have been occurring over much of Southern NV the past couple of days, though most of the precipitation has been light so far. Temperatures have been near average for the date. However, a significant warm up is expected later this week into next week.

With the passage of a couple of cold fronts, Southern NV has cooled off with low temperatures down into the upper 60s and our high temp for the next couple of days in the upper 80s to the mid 90s. Today, it is only expected to be around 88 deg. But, by the holiday weekend, we expect temps to be above 100 again.

After 124 days without measurable rainfall, the Las Vegas Valley is getting light to moderate rain showers this morning. The sun will return this afternoon with temperatures in the upper 90s. It is currently 85 deg. with light rain at my location as of 09:00 PDT. It appears the monsoon moisture is getting underway at this point.

We are entering our full summer weather mode in Southern Nevada as temperatures each day are 100+ degrees, and low temps in the upper 70s to low 80s. My max temperature here reached 101 for the first time this year, while down at the airport it was 106.

Heat continues to build across the Southwest with our temperatures in the Las Vegas Valley getting to around 103. Our average for the date is 95, so we are a bit above the average for early June. It continues to be dry with typical afternoon gusty breezes developing across the region.

While the Northeast is still getting frosts and freezes, it seems summer has arrived in full force for Southern Nevada. High temps today will be in the upper 90s to near 100 deg and this looks to be the trend going forward. The low at my place last night only got down to 80 deg. Currently 97 deg as of 13:00 PDT.

Southern Nevada is about to get some real summer weather in the coming days. By the weekend, high temps will be in the upper 90s and by next Monday, we could reach 100 deg. As of 14:00 PDT, I have a temperature of 85 deg.

Cooler temperatures prevail across southern Nevada today after a cold frontal passage over night. Temps generally in the low to mid 70 are dominant as of 13:45 PDT and breezy. By the end of the week, however, a rapid warm up is in store and temps could be in the upper 90s by the weekend.

Late yesterday afternoon some thunder showers developed over the Spring Mountains west of the Las Vegas Valley. Valley conditions were very windy with temperatures in the low to mid 80s at the time.

We have a much cooler day in the Las Vegas Valley today after a frontal passage last night. High winds swept through the area yesterday afternoon into the evening with high wind warnings and wind gusts in excess of 50 mph. Very cool weather has moved into the Las Vegas Valley for today. At 13:50 PDT our temperature is 63 deg with a dew point of -7 deg. Winds are gusting to 35 mph. But a warm up is expected into the weekend and early next week. Rainfall has been hard to come by and our current deficit is about 1.80 inches below average for the date.

There has been a significant drop in temperatures in Southern Nevada over the past couple of days in addition to increased cloud cover. Today is mostly cloudy, plenty of leticular clouds as well, but quite windy.

Southern Nevada continues to break temperature records for March with high temps continuing in the mid to upper 90s. It looks like there is no significant break in sight at this point. It is looking like this could be a long hot summer coming up, if not a record breaking summer.

Today is expected to be the hottest day so far for many locations in the Southwest.

Our weather in Southern NV has taken a complete flip from last week where we had snow down to within a thousand feet of the valley floor to having our first 80 deg day of the year on this past Wednesday. Yesterday, Las Vegas broke the high temperature record for the date reaching 74 deg. That temperature broke the previous daily high record of 72 degrees, set in 1939. Warm weather continues today and into early next week and it is possible other records could fall in the coming days.

We have been having above average temperatures in southern Nevada these past days and the rest of the week into next week will offer the same. We are running close to ten deg. above average. Currently 73 deg. at 15:30 PST.

The period of wet weather for southern Nevada is winding down. The recent days of rainfall has put Las Vegas 1.23 inches above average. Temperatures have moderated and we can expect high timps in the mid 60s and lows in the 50s.

More rain showers moved through the Las Vegas Valley early this morning, and now it is mostly cloudy with a temperature of about 50 deg. Last night it got down into the upper 40s. Last evening, the clouds lifted enough to reveal fresh snow on the ridge tops of the Spring Mountains. It is possible more rain could fall later this week as well.

More showers have moved through Southern NV early this morning, but now we have overcast and cool temperatures in the mid to upper 50s as of 10:20 PST. More showers may move in later today. The mountains are getting plenty of fresh snow.

We have had a couple of periods of heavy rain in the Las Vegas Valley and it looks like rain has changed to light snow at the Lee Canyon Ski area. Temperature here has dropped to 61 deg.
