“Breaking Down the Madness in Every Storm.”
Joel- Sussex county De.
41, rains ended for now, still calling for snow but I’m not really seeing it.
Henry, we all love the videos but if you’re not feeling well don’t be afraid to take a day off. I’m sure all of us understand.
Accuweather has for days had little to no accumulation here, this moring 1-3 inches of snow even as it has all rain for the entire day and warming up to 40. WTH??!
Most inaccurate. lol
I have WWA south of me, west and north nothing here keep in mind I’m on a peninsula. NWS saying only an inch or less here but more around me lol
We stay above freezing all night and first half is rain, then wet snow while still above freezing. Then 18 degrees overnight, typical Delmarva weather.
38 in slower lower Delaware this morning, Local mets not to impressed with tomorrow’s event, may sneak out an inch but there saying mostly rain. we will see.
Good morning
Looks like the 12Z runs the euro and Canadian of come west .
CMC always has been further west out 3-4 days ago. NOAA buying part of it now posting 20% chance of snow for Hagerstown and had posted for it to be sunny on Sunday.
just the preci field is bigger, storm is in the same place.
I like that!
Not far enough for Henry and myself. We might get a little tonight and tomorrow but nothing to right home about.
It used to be 3-4 days out you wanted the storm offshore as the GFS always corrected west, if it was looking perfect and four days out it would go west. Now who knows what sort of goofiness it’s up to.
00Z GFS has a nice 3-6 in my area Sunday, 06Z has an inch and is more back offshore. As it seems the Euro is too.
Let’s see what the 0Z and 12Z runs bring tomorrow, I’m not expecting a return to a big storm but at least we should have a true idea of what we have. I have seen many storms disappear for this area only to come back, somewhat anyway.
I’ll be very surprised if the storm doesn’t move around a few more times on the models, maybe it back to where is was but I doubt this is th actual correct solution.
No local forecasters or NOAA have anything in their forecasts for this area Thursday or Friday, just a 30 percent chance of a shower Thursday and sunny Friday. They seem to think this storm will not materialize.
I say all that because that means there is a chance. If everyone was predicting it already, kiss it goodbye.
Inaccurate weather never has had anything but partly cloudy here, lol
Chance of rain here on Wednesday with a few scattered snow showers Thursday morning. Nothing for the weekend. I have a snow blower coming for the tractor. Probably jinx it. lol
47 degrees temp set to drop here too with 30-35 mph winds.
let’s hope come Wednesday there isn’t a huge change. Still very cautious when things seem to align this early, always changes. Fingers crossed.
60 degrees with light showers tonight, out in my gazebo with no heat on for the first in in weeks, its ok as long as it doesn’t last.
Whenever a storm looks promising a week out, I can’t help but be suspicious, it so rarely works out like portraited, hoping it does this time or everyone here will be losing their minds. lol
19 degrees this morning.
26 with a few flurries again this morning. Looks like a heat wave starting mid next week, there forecasting highs in the mid 60’s hopefully it doesn’t last long.
The front just plowed through here with a decent snow squall, temps went from 37 to 31 in just 4 minutes.
26 degrees light snow falling this morning.
Have a goodcnew year Joel…nice ypur getting a bit of snow
Thank you and Happy New Year all!
Andrew
Thoroughly enjoyed our first significant snowfall in a few years here in NYC. And looking forward to more (fingers crossed)… Happy Holidays!
