I know the excitement is about the snow and ice. One deadly risk that is not being discussed is the brutal cold in the Upper Midwest. While the east coast may drop to 10 degrees in colder areas, it will drop to -30 up here. Wind Chills will be close to -60 in Northern Minnesota. Additionally, at this temperature, trees tend to pop and “explode” resulting in toppling trees. Many people live in wooded areas and this causes a potential risk to property and life
